Welcome to the Oceanus Library. Here you will find an extensive collection of scientific literature relating to marine and freshwater resources. An important element of this collection includes our Archive, with material dating from c. 1840, and consisting of scientific reports, books and publications prepared by Irish and international researchers.

We are not a lending Library, however, the general public are very welcome to visit us and browse our collection. The Library is open to the public by appointment and is located at the Marine Institute Headquarters in Rinville, Oranmore, Co. Galway.
