The Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Holland 1 operated by the Marine Institute - named after the prototype submarine developed by legendary Irish submarine pioneer John Holland, from Liscannor, Co. Clare.

Trade Restrictions on French Oysters

The French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has announced a ban on exports of Pacific Oysters from areas experiencing abnormal oyster mortality. The Marine Institute urges Irish oyster producers who have stocked from French sources to report abnormal oyster mortality.
