The Beaufort Biodiscovery Project is part of Ireland’s marine biotechnology research activity; and significant progress is reported on projects that are looking at novel materials from algae, sponges, barnacles and marine bacteria.
The workshop brings institutional based researchers together to
- Highlight progress on projects funded by the Marine Biodiscovery Programme;
- Investigate and highlight opportunities for future marine biotechnology research;
- Encourage networking and further collaboration between research institutes, agencies and industry;
- Develop synergies between individual projects and with other research initiatives and activities; and
- Contribute to Ireland’s goal of becoming an international leader in marine biotechnology research.
To attend the workshop, please register by e-mail to marinetech@marine.ie including your name, position, host institution or company.
