The Marine Institute is participating in ARCOPOL (The Atlantic Regions' COastal POLlution Response), an EU Interreg Atlantic Area project, bringing together a consortium of partners involved in Atlantic coastal pollution protection.
ARCOPOL aims to improve prevention, response and mitigation capabilities against oil, HNS (hazardous & noxious substances) and inert spills, and to establish the basis for a sustainable Atlantic network of experts supported by adequate information, data exchange and management tools. The ARCOPOL project runs from 2009 to 2011
This one-day conference will focus on the ARCOPOL results methods, protocols and procedures developed for responders. The agenda will be available before end July.
