A conference on 'Combining Engineered Antibodies and Marine Products for Biotherapeutics and Diagnostics: Outcomes from the PHARMATLANTIC Consortium' will be held in the National Centre for Sensor Research, Dublin City University, on the 8-9th May, 2012.
This conference will highlight the achievements of the PHARMATLANTIC consortium, an EU-funded group, whose aims are focused on the effects of climate change on the production of marine compounds and toxins in the Atlantic area. The partners of this project have already grown, purified and developed models to test the activity of compounds/toxins and are examining their possible applications in a variety of areas including cancer therapy, immunomodulation and neurological diseases.
