This years Comhairle Fo-Thuinn Annual General Meeting takes place in Enniscrone, Sligo on the 24th-25th of November. The AGM is being hosted by Grainne Uaile of SAC (Sub Aqua Club).
The event is being officially opened by Dr. Peter Heffernan CEO of the Marine Institute. The following speakers will give presentations at the event;
- Mike Leece, OBE, CEng. Flmeche, FIMarest.
Mike was the project Manager of the HMS Scylla sinking at Plymouth, UK.
He will speak about their experience on that project.
- Koen Verbruggen, Principal Geologist GSI, (Project Manager INFOMAR),
Koen will speak about the Irish National Seabed Survey.
- Sean Cullen, Hydrographer / Senior Geologist GSI,
Sean will give a talk on Irelands shipwreck heritage.
- Pat Coughlan & Grainne Uaile,
Pat will give a presentation on Diving the Lusitania with video.
- Ivan Irwin, Sheephavin SAC,
Ivan will talk about the Raising of the Laurentic Gun.
- John Johnson, from AGA Masks,
John will give a talk about the use of their masks in Search & Recovery activity.
