The Meet West initiative will be the largest business development event in the West in 2011. It is a collaborative effort between the 4 local authorities (Galway City and County, Mayo and Roscommon), 3 County Enterprise Boards, Enterprise Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta and other enterprise supports in the region.
The objective of the event is to bring together companies based in the 3 counties over 2 days to facilitate the development of greater business between these companies and further business opportunities for them either locally, regionally or internationally.
The first day of the event will consist of a conference in the morning followed by workshops in the afternoon and a dinner attended by An Taoiseach that night.
The second day of the event will involve pre-arranged networking meetings between the companies registered. Specialized software and networking event organizers are being employed to facilitate this element of the event and it will introduce many delegates to a
