In July 2006, the Marine Law and Ocean Policy Centre at the Martin Ryan Institute, Galway, will co-host the 30th Virginia Law of the Sea Conference to mark the 10th Anniversary of Ireland's ratification of the Law of the Sea Convention.
The 2006 Conference, which is sponsored by the Marine Institute, the Law of the Sea Institute of Iceland and the Center Oceans Law and Policy at the School of Law, University of Virginia, will review a range of contemporary issues in marine scientific research, new technology and the law of the sea.
