The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group exhibition on Irish whales and dolphins has opened at the EU Commission's Offices at 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 in advance of European Maritime Day, which will be celebrated across Europe on the 20th May. The title of the exhibition, "Flukeprints" is derived from the 'foot print' made on the surface of the ocean by the tail (fluke) of a whale as it dives. This photographic display shows Ireland’s 24 species of whales and dolphins and the pioneering monitoring and conservation work of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.
