Galway Atlantaquaria, with the support of the Marine Institute, have planned a terrific line up of guests to celebrate World Ocean Day on Sunday 30th May at Galway Atlantaquaria, Salthill, Ireland.
- We're looking forward to the arrival of Bjorn the Polar Bear, together with his minder Ursula!!
- Also taking part in the event is: Dale Tredwell from Naturally Wild and RTE's KAZOO.
- Vincent Hyland, Underwater Filmmaker, will talk about his time diving with Basking Sharks.
- It's the 50th Anniversary of Dr.Seuss's book One Fish, Two Fish and we have story telling and crafts lined up.
- Children from local schools will be showcasing the Something Fishy programme.
- The Irish Seal Sanctuary will be with us, as will our friends at the Western Regional Fisheries Board.
- Make a whale of a collage with the Environmental Change Institute! Have your face painted! Do some mad experiments with Prof.Ridg!
- See a fine collection of Ocean Stamps and Watch a World Record holder dive in our Ocean Tank!
