The Marine Institute and IRCSET announced funding under the National Development Plan 2007-2013, for three PhD Scholarships in Marine Biodiscovery/Biotechnology. These Scholarships aimed to address the objectives of the Marine Biodiscovery/Biotechnology Research Programme of the Discovery Research Measure of Sea Change, A Marine Knowledge, Research and Innovation Strategy for Ireland 2007-2013.
Funding was available for three PhD Scholarships in Marine Biodiscovery/Biotechnology under the respective direction of:
- Prof. Oliver Dolly, Dr. John Sack, International Centre for Neurotherapeutics, DCU.
- Prof. Oliver Dolly, Dr Christine Loscher, School of Biotechnology, DCU.
- Prof. Patrick Guiry, Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology, UCD.
IRCSET will conduct the administration of these Scholarships on behalf of the Marine Institute through their Embark Initiative Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme.
