EC call for tender for Pilot Projects - Deadline for applicants: 28 September 2009

Two preparatory actions have been launched on Marine Spatial Planning (maximum funding €450,000 each) for 2 regional sea-basins.  They aim to gather practical knowledge and experience in the implementation of MSP in a cross-border context:

For each of these actions. at least two North Sea/North East Atlantic (area as defined by OSPAR) and Baltic coastal EU Member States should be involved.  The actions may also involve relevant international organisations, such as the Regional Sea Convention (OSPAR).  Coastal Member States from other European sea areas may join the action as observers.  Participation of non EU Member States is also possible, but no co-financing will be provided to them.  No project will be eligible in which the lead partner is a non EU member State.

EC Call for tender for Pilot Projects: Transatlantic Methods for Handling Global Challenges in the European Union and United States 2009 - topic H:  "Enhanced cooperation and coherence in the transatlantic implementation of integrated governance for oceans, coasts and maritime sectors".

SARF Call For Proposals – Deadline for applicants: 2nd October 2009.

The Scottish Aquaculture Research Forum (SARF) is pleased to announce a call for proposals for research and development projects in the following areas:

  • Aquaculture Feed Sustainability (£15K - 6 months)
  • Development of a simple model to assist in the reliable prediction of ammonia production from fish farms (£20K - 6 months)
  • Novel aquaculture species and products – innovation primer (£30K , 12 - 36 months)
  • Studies on the impacts of smolt cages on the wild fish communities and possible alternative production strategies (£25K - 6 months) - Deadline for Application - 20th August 2009.
