Programme Outline
Unlike the Interreg IVA and IVB Programmes, which have defined geographical zones of cooperation, the IVC Programme supports cooperation across all 27 EU Member States as well as Norway and Switzerland. IVC is a "Capitalisation" Programme, meaning that it focuses on the identification, analysis and dissemination of good practices by public authorities1 to improve the effectiveness of regional and local policies. The Programme supports activities such as:
- Exchange and dissemination of experience (e.g. thematic seminars, study visits, staff exchanges, web sites, newsletters & good practice guides)
- Transfer of Practices / Development of new approaches (e.g. regional policy tools, methodologies, software etc.)
- Joint development of new approaches (sub-projects to improve policies and strategies and mini-programmes).
1 The Interreg IVC Programme can only fund public authorities and bodies whose expenditure is considered as public expenditure. Private sector entities (i.e. profit-making organisations or NGOs) can participate in operations at their own cost.

- The environment and risk prevention.
Marine Opportunities in: Climate Change, Water Management, Biodiversity, Energy.
Participating Countries: All 27 EU Member States + Switzerland & Norway.
Total Programme Budget (ERDF): €321m
Co-Financing Rate: 75% (max)
