Call For Proposals:
The next collection date for COST pre-proposals is 25th September 2009. Pre-proposals for new COST Actions must:
- Be submitted under one of nine Domains (see list below)
- Include a minimum of five COST countries
- Use the online submission facility
- Comprise a maximum of 1500 words/3 pages

Run by the ESF (European Science Foundation), COST is an intergovernmental framework for the coordination of nationally-funded research at a European level. There are currently over 200 ongoing COST Actions which support scientific networks, exchanges and outreach in thematic areas. Proposals for COST Actions can be submitted to any of nine COST domains:
- Biomedicine and Molecular Bioscience;
- Chemistry and Molecular Sciences and Technologies;
- Earth System Science and Environmental Management;
- Food and Agriculture;
- Forests, their Products and Services;
- Individuals, Societies, Cultures and Health;
- Information and Communication Technologies;
- Materials, Physical and Nanosciences;
- Transport and Urban Development
