As part of the Marine Institute's mission to promote and assist marine research, a wide range of publications and data services are available. These relate to the activities of the Institute in a range of areas and to the wider marine community in general.
Data Services
Users can now search the Marine Institute’s data holdings using the new ISDE Browser. This browser allows users to search not only the Marine Institute’s data holdings but also data belonging to other ISDE partner organisations.
Data Services available include access to online data sources on a range of topics including weather buoy data, Harmful Algal Bloom test result data, mapping services and temperature monitoring.
In addition there are a number of interactive services available to the public, such as our vessel tracking service, the Survey Planning System and the Follow the Fleet system aimed at primary schools.

Oceanus Library

Welcome to the
Oceanus Library. Here you will find a comprehencive collection of scientific literature relating to Ireland's marine and freshwater resources. Our collection includes books, journals and other publications on an extensive range of marine subjects. An important element of our collection includes scientific reports prepared by Ireland's marine researchers, dating from 1891 to the present time. The more recent of these are Marine Institute
publications, which are available electronically.
