Marine Data Online is a metadata service that provides quick and easy access to summary information on data and project archives of the Marine Institute and other marine research organisations in Ireland.
Marine Data Online acts as the one-stop shop for researchers and scientists interested in trawling what datasets may be available in their specified geographic and thematic area of interest.
A summary of the content, the currency and format is given for each entry, conforming to the ISO19115 International Standard for geographic metadata.
This service has been developed by the Marine Institute through support from the Information Society Fund and there is an ongoing programme to link this service with other state agencies and organisations.
Metocean
The Metocean Metadata Catalogue is a service that provides metadata on key meteorological and oceanographic datasets concentrating on those within the bounding coordinates of 6º W to 20º W and 48º N to 57º N.
This resource provides access to meteorological and oceanographic datasets of particular interest to exploration companies.
