The wind vane points into the oncoming wind and the 10 minute average wind direction is recorded. To interpret wind direction see the diagram below.

  • 0° or 360° is true northerly wind (from the north)
  • 90° easterly wind (from the east) 
  • 180° southerly wind (from the south) 
  • 270° westerly wind (from the west)
