Project Summary
The main objective of this project is to further develop the optical oxygen respirometry methodology by applying it to the area of environmental monitoring. This will be achieved through the development of screening applications for rapid and quantitative assessment of marine samples for several critical parameters. The expected outcomes include:
- A dedicated laboratory facility capable of rapid processing of a large number of samples from different sites and from national and international customers will be established.
- Some key components of this technology developed by UCC and Luxcel are in the process of commercialisation.
