Project Summary
The aim of this project is to demonstrate a miniaturised unit for the in-situ detection of microbial pollution or toxic bloom events. This project is creating a 'proof-of-concept' for an autonomous system to quantify microorganisms using a cytometry system. The concept is currently proven in laboratory surroundings, using cell counting techniques coupled with antibody markers and with fluorescence markers.
