Project Summary
This project aims to develop new tools to model Nephrops stock dynamics. These tools will then be used in the assessment and management frameworks to test new management measures and plans.
The project is expected to make an international impact through the publication of various papers, contributions to ICES Working Groups and through the fisheries advisory processes. Nationally the project will help in the development of fisheries based management plans with the focus on Nephrops stocks. It is also expected that the project will impact on existing survey programmes to optimism data collection requirements.
