Every year a broad range of organisations use the Marine Institute vessels for research, development and monitoring programmes. These include government departments and agencies, universities, research institutes and industry.
The call for shiptime applications is announced each summer for the following year and applications must be submitted via the Marine Institute's online Survey Planning System by the given closing date.
Applicants may also seek grant-aid to cover all or part of the vessel charter costs via the Funding Office.

The survey schedules CAN change during the year, therefore please contact RV Operations to check whether any survey slots remain for 2012 or to be notified if any dates become available.
