The Explorers Education Programme offers a range of marine themed modules for primary school students and teachers in the classroom, through blended learning as well as out-door education.

We have an amazing outreach team that can support teachers with the delivery of the module covering a wide range of subjects on the curriculum. Check out our modules below for more information including marine projects, seashores safaris, aquariums in the class, and taking part in a number of exciting marine workshops.

Explorers Aquarium in Class.
Explorers Aquarium in the Classroom
The Explorers Aquarium in the Classroom provides children with an amazing opportunity to learn about native seashore species in the classroom. An aquarium and specially selected animals are organised by the outreach officer– bringing the seashore to the classroom for a set duration.
Explorers Marine Projects.
Explorers Marine Project
The Explorers Marine Project provides children the tools to develop their own project identifying and developing the concept, identifying problems, finding solutions and creating positive actions. This is an excellent module for children to develop a strong connection with the natural environment – becoming ocean champions!
Explorers Seashore Safari.
Explorers Seashore Safari
The Explorers Seashore Safari provides classroom activities and an amazing seashore excursion learning about marine animals, seaweeds and environmental care. This module also provides cross curricular resources including our Wild about Wildlife – on the seashore films, fun facts, and information sheets that can be used as part of online and blended learning classes with our outreach officers.
Explorers Workshops.
Explorers STEM Workshops
The Explorers STEM Workshops for Children can be booked throughout the year at key outreach centres that run the Explorers Education Programme. Special workshops are also run around STEM months including Maths Week (October), Science Week (November) and Engineering Week (February).
