The Survey Planning System (SPS) is used by our Research Vessels Operations department in all aspects of survey planning and scheduling.
Ship-time applicants and chief scientists intending to charter the RV Celtic Voyager or the RV Celtic Explorer must use SPS when applying for ship-time and submitting survey details. Applicants should refer to the Applying for Ship-time page for further guidelines.
If you wish to apply for ship-time, please contact rv [at] marine [dot] ie (Subject: SPS Login) (Research Vessel Operations) to obtain a username and password for SPS.
Due to GDPR, each scientist needs to update their personal details on the SPS themselves. Those details include specific dietary requirements, medical conditions, next of kin (NOK) details, ENG11 & PST issue date. The first step is for the chief scientist of a survey to add the name, email address and organisation, of each scientist, sailing onboard a survey. Once those details are added each scientist will receive an automated email from the SPS, requesting them to contact rv [at] marine [dot] ie (Subject: SPS Login) (Research Vessel Operations) for a username and password to allow them to enter their personal details on the SPS.
