VIVALDI project Information Day

The Marine Institute is hosting an Information day for the Horizon 2020 European project VIVALDI (PreVenting and mItigating farmed biVALve DIseases). The project aims at increasing the sustainability and competitiveness of the shellfish industry in Europe, developing tools and approaches with a view to better preventing and controlling marine bivalve diseases.
VIVALDI is a 4-year European Horizon 2020 project coordinated by Ifremer (2016-2020): 21 mostly European, public and private partners are involved in it, including 4 Partners across the island of Ireland.
The information day aims to give an overview of the project as well as more detailed information on the work that will be undertaken by the Irish partners as well as a flavour of the work which is being undertaken on selective breeding. Click here for more project detail.
