Marine Institute thank Choirmaster Carmel Dooley

Photographer Andrew DownesDr Peter Heffernan, Marine Institute CEO recently presented Carmel Dooley with a mixed media artwork by Geraldine O'Rourke for her outstanding commitment to developing the Marine Institute Singers.

Dr Heffernan thanked Ms Dooley for her dedication in leading the Marine Institute Singers since they first formed as a choir in 2013 to their recent success in Winning Workplace Choir of the Year at the National Concert Hall Dublin.

The Marine Institute Singers came together as a choir in 2013 to compete in and win the inaugural charity 'ChoirFactor' workplace choir competition in the Radisson Hotel, Galway and have continued their success in a number of competitions, events and raising money for charities.
