The "Blue Growth" Action 14 (BG14) – Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance Coordination and Support Action (AORAC-SA) Project, an initiative of the European Commission's Blue Growth Strategy, will address key scientific and societal challenges. BG-14 will advance our knowledge of the Atlantic Ocean and achieve the shared objectives of the Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance between the European Union, Canada and United States of America.
The Director, will act in a strategic capacity, leading a secretariat on behalf of the Research Alliance to ensure delivery of the BG-14 project with a number of international partners. You will have oversight responsibility for the delivery of all work packages, with direct responsibility for three focusing on Coordination, Management, Governance and Communications.
To be successful, you will be a Strategic thinker and natural leader, with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience internationally in a scientific or technical environment. You will be able to demonstrate success in translating strategy into objectives and delivery of research or scientific programmes. Your network will reflect your ease at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
