Stagiaire – Research vessel Operations (Administration)
Summary of the Role:
The Stagiaire Programme (Marine Institute Student Programme for recent graduates) is designed to enable recent graduates to gain work experience in an area in which they are interested. As part of Ocean Science and Information Services, you will provide administrative support to the Marine Institute/ POMS technical team in the management and delivery of technical services for the National Weather Buoy Network and the Ocean Energy test sites. This Stagiaire position is an excellent training opportunity for a recent graduate of marine science or a related subject.
Background to Requirement:
The Stagiaire Programme (Marine Institute Student Programme for recent graduates) is designed to enable recent graduates to gain work experience in an area in which they are interested. Assignments may also be carried out at other Marine Institute locations from time to time. When absent from home and place of work on duty you will be paid appropriate travelling expenses and subsistence allowances. Before any motor travel is undertaken for business purposes, you will be required to ensure that your insurance includes business use or carry an indemnity clause in your certificate of insurance for business use. Duration of Contract:
The fixed term, fixed purpose Graduate Training contract will be for a maximum period of 50 weeks. The successful candidate will be on probation for the first 6 months of this training contract.
