Team Lead, Infrastructure Projects (EMSODEV & FIXO3)

Summary of the Role:

The role of the Team Leader is to act as Project Manager for the Marine Institute, ensuring delivery of a number of MI inputs to marine observatory activities, projects, programmes and legal entities. These include FixO3 (FP7), the European Marine Seas Observatory (EMSO ERIC), EMSODEV (H2020), the Euro-Argo ERIC as well as contributing to national and international marine observing infrastructures initiatives. This will require attendance at project meetings and ensure MI project deliverables are provided on time and on budget. The MI is co-WP leader for TransNational Access in FixO3 and WP leader for Exploitation, Commercialisation and Innovation in EMSO-Dev. Regular reviews of Budgets and accounts will be held with the relevant Project officers, Accounts Manager and Team, to monitor expenditure and ensure that all records of expenditure are accurately maintained. Reporting to the Director of OSIS and the OS Section Manager, the Team Leader will be responsible for the provision of regular operational and budgetary summary updates. The Team Leader will input to the planning, development, implementation and operation of existing and new technical infrastructure and services and assist in supporting new R&D projects/programmes and related value-added activities in the area of ocean observation. The Team Leader will work across a broad range of disciplines and in partnership with a range of participants in the public and private sectors, to stimulate appropriate R&D initiatives. Duration of Contract:

This temporary fixed term, fixed purpose contract of employment will run for a duration of 3 years in line with the activities outlined under EU projects FIX03 and EMSODEV. The successful candidate will be on probation for the first 12 months of this contract.
