2016 Networking and Travel Awards

Due to the high level of uptake of Networking & Travel Awards in 2016 we have reached our maximum budget and the call will close for applications on Friday 4th November.  The Marine Institute will open the 2017 Networking & Travel Awards in early 2017.  This scheme is under the Marine Research Sub-Programme and is funded by the Irish Government. 

Grant support is provided in the following three categories:

• A. Hosting Workshops and Conferences - Maximum Grant-Aid available €2,000
• B. Researcher Travel Awards - Maximum Grant-Aid available €1,000 for travel outside of Europe, €750 for travel within Europe and €500 for travel to Conferences/Workshops for Job-Bridge and Intern staff.
• C. Other Marine Networking Initiative - Maximum Grant-Aid available €1,000 for travel outside of Europe and €750 for travel within Europe.

Applications must be submitted via the Marine Institute's online Application System - Research and Information Management System (RIMS). Application forms were available to download from RIMS.

NOTE:

• Applicants cannot receive more than two awards in any calendar year.
