BiodivERsA+, the European Biodiversity Partnership has launched its 2021-2022 Joint Call for Transnational Research Proposals on "Supporting biodiversity and ecosystem protection across land and sea". The EPA, with the support of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and National Parks & Wildlife Service, is providing funding towards this Call to support the participation of the Irish Research Community. Irish researchers can request funding under two of the Call themes, namely:
- Knowledge for identifying priority conservation areas, establishing effective and resilient ecological networks, enhancing species-based protection and preserving genetic diversity.
- Multiple benefits and costs of biodiversity and ecosystem protection: synergies and trade-offs.
More information on the Call (including Call documentation and national funding rules) is available from the https://www.biodiversa.org/1772 website. Closing dates for pre-proposal submissions is 15:00 CET on the 30th November 2021.
