The Marine Institute is pleased to announce the launch of the Ocean Law and Governance call under the Marine Research Programme. The Marine Institute is seeking applications for a multi-disciplinary, multi-institute programme of research to assist with the progress needed towards a more integrated maritime governance in Ireland in compliance with national, EU and international commitments and policy goals.

The Marine Institute is delighted to support the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership’s first joint transnational call “The way forward: a thriving sustainable blue economy for a brighter future” with a deadline for pre-proposal submissions on 14 April 2023. The first Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) co-funded call pools national and regional financial resources through the participation of 36 funding organisations from 23 countries. The Marine Institute is the national funder for Ireland under this call with a commitment of €1 million.
