Tidal Predictions

Tide predictions have been derived from the harmonic analysis of data measured at the tide gauges around the Irish coast (hyperlink to new tide gauge page).  There are also predictions for a limited set of locations based on data obtained from the Marine Institute regional ROMS model (hyperlink to new Regional Ocean Forecast page).  The tide predictions calculate the water level due to tidal forcing for a particular period in time.  Storm surge due to atmospheric pressure and wind effects is not accounted for in these predictions. 

On this page, tide predictions can be created for a 6 day period up to two years in the future.  Tide predictions for any date range in the past or future can be requested via our data request page (link to data request page).
