2019 Law and Environment Conference Programme
2019 Law and Environment Conference Programme
University College Cork, on Thursday, 11th April
The annual Law and the Environment Conference, held each April at UCC for the past 17 years, constitutes a unique event in the Irish environmental calendar, providing a forum for the expert presentation and discussion of legal developments and research in the area of Environmental Law, Regulation, Policy and Governance, as well as an informal forum for the exchange of views among policy-makers, regulators, operators, environmental NGOs / civil society, and Irish and international academic researchers. For the researcher, it provides a unique opportunity to develop an understanding of the key concerns and priorities of the various environmental actors, and of the practical difficulties experienced by different actors in seeking to implement, apply, invoke, enforce and reform Irish Environmental Law. The Law and the Environment Conference at UCC has become one of the best established research events in the field in Europe, with in excess of 200 participants attending each year to hear from over 30 expert presenters from around the world.
