This project provides a chance for children to develop their skills in engaging with others and create solutions.

Explorers Climate Change Superheroes Teachers Planning Guide provides teachers with links to the educational resources that can be used for teaching children about the climate literacy, the Earth’s climate system, the causes, effects and impacts of climate change. The guide also provides an opportunity to develop ideas and collaborate on creating solutions.
An introduction to climate literacy
The Introduction to Climate Literacy helps children understand what it means to be climate literate. This includes developing a level of understanding, knowledge, and ability to communicate and engage with others about to climate change.

The first step in learning about climate change is understanding the Earth’s climate system, including the role of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, geosphere, and biosphere.

This module focusses on exploring the natural and human causes of climate change, the effects of climate change on planet Earth, and the impacts of climate change on us.
The impacts of climate change on the ocean animals & habitats
Learn about some of the iconic ocean animals and their habitats that have been affected by climate change, from polar bears to penguins, tiny plankton to giant whales, corals, salmon, turtles, and many more.

This module introduces children to the work of marine scientists and researchers, researching climate change at sea and the tools they use for ocean observation.

Explorers Climate Change Superheroes: Activities & Lesson Plans
A range of cross curricular lesson plans are available to use with each of the Climate Change Superheroes modules. These may be used to promote developing key competencies and skills including: communication & using languages, being creative, being an active citizen, and fostering wellbeing.
Climate Change Superheroes: Quiz for Kids
Try out the climate change quiz for kids. It covers 20 multiple questions relating to each of the climate change modules and is a fun way to gauge the level of climate literacy.
