UN Sustainable Development Goals

The Explorers Education Programme supports the UN’s sustainable development goals.  By using the ocean as a core theme, many of the sustainable development goals may be introduced into the classroom.

Sustainable Development Goals and the Ocean

This PowerPoint introduces the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the ways in which they relate to each other and to the ocean. Featuring photos, colourful graphics, fast facts, and lots of extra information in the notes including ideas for activities/discussion and further resources, this is an excellent way to introduce the SDGs to your class and discuss what they mean for us and our ocean. Slides can be used as a presentation or printed to display in the class.

The Explorers Education Programme has a range of posters to help raise awareness about the ocean's influence on us and our influence on the ocean. These maybe printed off as a resource to use in the class.
