Protected Disclosures Annual Report

Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 requires the publication of a report each year relating to the number of protected disclosures made in the preceding year and any actions taken in response to such disclosures.

No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2023.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2022.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2021.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2020.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2019.
One protected disclosure was made during 2018. Under the terms of the Marine Institute Policy, this disclosure was made to the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. The disclosure was dealt with in accordance with the Policy and the conclusion of the investigator was that no wrongdoing in the workplace occurred.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2017.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2016.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2015.
No protected disclosures were received by the Marine Institute in the reporting period up to 31 December 2014.
