Research Vessels Marine Notices

The Marine Institute research vessels (Celtic Explorer and Tom Crean) operate all year round in Irish waters conducting a variety of research surveys. Specific surveys issue Marine Notices to inform stakeholders of our activities and contain information on the survey dates, activities, locations and contact details.

The Irish Groundfish Survey (IGFS) will take place on dates 1st November - 12th December 2024. The Marine Notice will be available here when published and on the Department of Transport's Marine Notices page.
