An insight into the exciting ocean-themed attractions and activities planned for SeaFeast 2017 were shared at an Information Evening on Wednesday 10 May 2017.
More than 70 representatives from Galway's business community attended the Information Evening, held by the Galway Chamber in association with the Marine Institute.
Dr John Killeen Chair of the Marine Institute and Maurice O'Gorman President of the Galway Chamber encouraged members to support the national festival, which showcases Ireland's abundant maritime resources.
Jim O'Toole Chief Executive of BIM and Declan McDonald PwC Advisory Partner also shared why they are getting involved in this year's SeaFest event.
SeaFest 2017 will be held in Galway from 30 June to 2 July 2017. Visitors will discover all about our oceans, and include tours of ocean-going vessels, exciting aquatic displays and exhibits on marine life. The programme will also include a seafood fair and cookery demonstrations, as well as seafaring family entertainment.
The Marine Institute co-ordinates SeaFest on behalf of the cross-government Marine Coordination Group, working together with a wide range of agencies and organisations.
