Welcome to the Oceanus Library. Here you'll find an extensive collection of scientific literature relating to marine and freshwater resources. An important element of this collection includes our archive, with material dating from c. 1840, consisting of scientific reports, books and publications prepared by Irish and international researchers.

You're welcome to visit our library at our headquarters in Rinville, Oranmore, Co. Galway by appointment. 

You can also browse our Open Access Repository which gives free access to digital full-text versions of Marine Institute publications including reports, peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, educational resources and PhD, MSc theses.
