RTE Nationwide to showcase SeaFest 2017

On Nationwide this evening, the programme is in the harbour in Galway City for the 2017 SeaFest, Ireland's biggest maritime festival. Mary Kennedy talks to festival co-ordinator Johnny Donnelly who speaks about the festival fun and the educational message that SeaFest has to share. The programme meets Dr. Peter Heffernan of the Marine Institute whose work in the seas around Ireland is vitally important.RTE Nationwide to showcase SeaFest 2017 RTE Nationwide also explores the RV Celtic Explorer to see how technology investigates our marine resource, and visits the new interactive sea science gallery at Galway City Museum.
