Science Day - Marine Institute/Galway City Museum

The Wild Atlantic exhibition at Galway City Museum is supported by the Marine Institute and is Ireland's first sea science gallery to have audio and visual displays accessible in both English and as Gaeilge. Your class will get to the opportunity to meet a number of the Marine Institute staff who will be teaming up with the students to take them on an exploration of the exhibits.

Due to the popularity of the Open Day with the Marine Institute, class groups of approx. 30 students are recommended for bookings. The Open Day is designed to be interactive and provides an opportunity to learn more about our ocean. Therefore to encourage engagement with our visitors, class groups may be split into smaller teams of approx. 5 students per group.
