Minister Dempsey Launches Beaufort Marine Research Awards

"These awards will stimulate and develop Irish Marine Research" said Mr. Noel Dempsey, T.D Minister for Communications,Marine and Natural Resources, when he launched theBeaufort Marine Research Awards today at Beaufort College in Navan.

The Government is providing €20 million for this initiative over the next seven years.

The awards are an important element of Sea Change -   A Marine Knowledge Research and Innovation Strategy for Ireland 2007 - 2013.
